As many of you know we have had a tough year.
My husband has been out of work for 9 months and the future is still ridiculously uncertain.
We've known for a long time that we would need to replace our vehicle. Our van was really old and there is only so long you can go before something major gives out and it becomes more expensive to fix than it is to replace.
We figured the time was coming pretty close but considering my husband was out of work we knew that wasn't going to happen anytime soon so we were just praying our old van would live forever.
And then we got a phone call from some really amazing friends of ours. They wanted to give us a gift.
They wanted to give us this....
They wanted to give us their VAN!!!
After we managed to pick ourselves up off the floor from our shock and amazement at such incredible generosity we pretty much did the happy dance and haven't stopped since :). Their van is a full 10 years newer than our old van and definitely in waaayyy better condition. And way prettier. And way cooler. Just ask my kids...
There are really no words to say how thankful we are for such an incredible gift.
I mean really... how do you thank someone for a miracle?
Thankfully these particular friends of ours are so dear to our hearts that I think they know through our gushing and blubbering how grateful we are that they are the kind of people who love God and love us enough to see our need and fill it.
It makes me cry just thinking about it.
And then I remember how incredibly cool our new van is and I start grinning again. It is so pretty. It has TWO sliding doors on the sides that open with the push of a button. It has a TV that comes down from the roof to play movies. It has seats the fold down in the middle. It has handles on all the doors and none of the doors EVER fall off!! It is a beautiful thing my friends.
And as of this week it is all insured and saftied and all the rest of the things the government requires it to be to be officially ours.
Is that not the coolest thing you have EVER heard?
You don't get gifts more amazing than that :).
