The action packed franchise is backwith the next generation of Spy Kids! Marissa Cortez Wilson (Jessica Alba) has it all: married to a famous spy-hunting television reporter (Joel McHale), with a new baby and intelligent twin step kids, Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook). When maniacal Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) disrupts her domestic bliss--threatening to take over the planet--Marissa comes out of retirement as a top secret agent. With Armageddon quickly approaching, Rebecca and Cecil are thrust into action! With a little help from some familiar Spy Kids friends, Carmen (Alexa Vega), Juni (Daryl Sabara), and their faithful dog Argonaut (Ricky Gervais) and some mind-blowing gadgets, they just may be able to save the world!
My kids loved this movie. All three of them (ages 9, 8 and almost 5) have watched it several times since it arrived. While watching the movie my boys could barely sit still- they both kept jumping up and talking about how cool a gadget was or how amazing that move was. It was actually pretty funny to watch my kids' reactions! My sons have both asked for "spy gear" for Christmas as a direct result of this movie. They also enjoyed watching the deleted scenes and learning more about the spy gadgets of course.
My daughter loved that there was a GIRL as a spy and thought the baby spy was extremely funny. She also kept giggling at the talking dog.
I enjoyed the movie too- it wasn't at all annoying and I thought parts of it were pretty darn funny. It is a great family friendly movie.
Spy Kids 4 would make an excellent Christmas gift for the aspiring spy in your family :)
