As some of you might remember I won a trip to see Glee- live on stage in Arizona with Janice from 5 Minutes for Mom... but I couldn't go because I couldn't get my passport in time. Sad.
But the wonderful folks at the Dove Hair Care Glee for All campaign very generously sent me a consolation prize of a Glee Season 1 Road to Sectionals DVD and Dove damage therapy shampoo and conditioner. They did not ask me to review these products... I just really like them so thought I'd tell you all about them anyway :)
Not quite as good as seeing Glee live... but still very nice :)
I have watched Glee since it started and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it... but you all know that already. So I got my mom to watch season one on DVD just to get some fresh perspective. She had never watched it before and here is what she had to say about it...
"I watched the whole season in just a few days! I thought the dancing was wonderful and the creativity was amazing. The story was fun and seemed realistic about what artsy teens need to put up with. It was so cool. I liked how the football player joined the Glee club and became a dancer and singer and sort of bridged the gap between the arts and athletics."
So there you have it folks- even my 67 year old mom loves Glee!
And she should because it is fabulous.
I love having the shows on DVD. The extra features are fun... I especially enjoyed the "Deconstructing Glee with Ryan Murphy" featurette and the audition pieces are great! There is nothing better than being able to watch your favourite TV shows on DVD- no annoying commercials and if you get to the end of one show and want to watch more you can! It is also perfect for those of us with little kids (aka the constant interrupters) running around- you can stop and start the show anytime without missing a thing. Perfect.
I will let you know about the Dove hair products in another post but I will say I am thoroughly enjoying using them. You can get a free sample HERE.
If you head over to the Dove Hair Care- Glee for All site you can enter to win some great prizes! You can also see an exclusive video with Lea Michele singing about her favourite things :).
