Wherein Monday kicks my butt...

I have two sick kids today... and apparently I am never going to be over this blasted cold thing either. I should just start to accept coughing and hacking and sniffling and achy ears as a new way of life. Blech.

Olivia fell asleep on the couch. Her chest sounds a bit rattly... if she gets worse I will have to attempt to get in to see a doctor. Much harder than it sounds unfortunately because our current family doctor is out sick. Go figure. So we would have to brave the local ER and I just don't want to have to sit for HOURS waiting to be seen. It sucks.

Owen is sacked out on the floor watching old Star Wars movies. He has a fever and is coughing out a lung. He wanted to go to school this morning and he didn't have a fever so I let him go but after a couple hours his teacher called. She had gone out to check on him during first recess and found him laying on his sled by the door!! So Doug went and picked him up and he has been complaining of a tummy ache. I think it might be all the snot the child has sniffed back. Ick. It gives me a tummy ache just thinking about it!

And why is it that kids use their sleeves to wipe their runny noses when there is a box of kleenex RIGHT BESIDE them? Super ick.

I am one tired mommy.

In answer to the last question.

1. It's usually softer.
2. They are trying to be frugal and save money on tissues.
3. They are trying to be eco friendly and green by using something that can be washed and re-used again..

Just guessing. :) you asked.

My kids' shirts look exactly the same way. I'm tired of the illnesses as well! Both my kids have colds right now.
