Weekly Winners- Kid Creativity

My kids were rather creative this week and since outside is all icky and dull and gross I thought I would share the beauty that my offspring created.

Owen was really in to painting....

He created a whole bunch of pictures of spring. This one is a sunset with green trees (his words)...

This one is of a flower-tree (I think he is referring to trees with apple blossoms) and the ground is pink from the flowers falling on it (when the apple blossoms fall on the grass it looks like a layer of petals everywhere).

And then a beautiful tree covered with bright green leaves in a beautiful blue sky...

Aiden was all about the Lego building and he created some pretty amazing ships...

He was especially proud of this one...

Aiden brought home a bunch of his art work from school and I thought they were very cool. We have an ocean theme going on with sharks....

"one of those fish with the lights like in Nemo except this one is giant" (his words)...
"an undersea guy fighting a giant shark"...
"a giant octopus trying to eat a girl with an air tank but she kills it first"...

"a giant crab and a scuba diver watching it"...

And this one is snowboards...

Olivia loves to paint. She paints pretty much every day but only sometimes on actual paper. She paints the table. She paints the couch. She paints herself. She paints her books. I have to really pay attention when paints are available to this child.

She told me that this is a "boo-ti-full picture for mommy"...
Not bad artists considering they all were sick with fevers and colds and rashes this week!

These are FABULOUS! I'm not just making it up Tara, (I have an Arts degree you know). You should use the kids art for Christmas card--any occasion cards, actually. They are really lovely.

It's Mothering Sunday here, so happy day to you!!

Wonderful! What fun. The under sea ones look much like what my oldest son draws.

Great creativity for all of them but wow, look at Aidens expression. Says it all doesn't it?
