We all enjoyed Pistachio. I am particularly fond of the message in this DVD- a lesson in listening to your parents is always welcome in our house! When I asked each of the kids what their favourite part of the movie was I got some interesting answers. My son Aiden finds Cricket especially funny and he remembers that he was Khalil in previous Veggie flicks. Owen thinks that Pistachio's nose growing when he lies is hilarious and has said to me several times "imagine if my nose grew long like a tree branch!". Olivia is a big fan of Gelato's ducks.

Once upon a time in the small Italian town of Bologna-Salami, there lived a lonely toymaker named Gelato and his assistant Cricket. Gelato had no children he could call his own, so one day he decided to carve a little boy out of wood. Imagine Gelato s surprise when he learned that this little toy boy could walk ... and talk ... and definitely had a mind of his own!
Will Pistachio learn that obeying the wisdom of a loving father will help him find what he really needs and could be the key to saving his whole family from becoming fish food? Find out in this all new VeggieTales adventure with a lesson about the importance of family and listening to your parents.
I love that Veggie Tales is 100 % family friendly and kid safe. There is not one thing I have to worry about with the singing vegetables. There is zero chance of my kids picking up some anything offensive or rude or obnoxious and that is a nice change from a lot of kid's programming.
I am happy to recommend Pistachio.
