sleeping beauty

Pin It I have mentioned before that we have had trouble getting Olivia onto a sleeping schedule that we could ALL be happy with. But over the last few weeks things have really turned around and I was starting to feel pretty excited about it. Olivia was going to bed at 8:00 pm and getting up at about 8:00 am... that is the perfect schedule. Granted she is still waking up in the night quite often but even that has really gone down over the last week or so.

But then last night Doug and I were at a meeting and Olivia stayed up with Grandma several hours past her bedtime. Which resulted in this happening this afternoon...

So here I am at almost 10:00 pm with a very awake daughter. I am really hoping we can get back on track tomorrow. I was really starting to enjoy a couple hours of kid-free time in the evening! But I can't be too frustrated with a face as sweet as this...

Consistency... arg what a pain hey. I'm sure grandma enjoyed some time with Olivia, but maybe next time emphasis the importance of your bedtime schedule...sometimes when they have been away from having their own kids that age they do not remember how things go. Hugs! Heres to mommy time and Olivia sleeping well

(Giggle!) She still sits in her bouncy chair? Is that what that is? Too cute.

I think I wrote on Twitter or FB yesterday that children's voices after 8 p.m. really irritate me. Mine have been sleeping through the night for quite some time HOWEVER I think your little sweetie is sleeping 'cause she gave mine the non-sleeping mojo. Last week Amareah got up three times and got into my bed and this week Andre has gotten in my bed once. Needless to say tonight will be the "if you wake up stay in your bed and go back to sleep" speech!

Good luck getting back on schedule.
