My latest purchase...

Pin It I just wanted to share with you all my new super-cute camera bag...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

I ordered it from this wonderful shop...

She custom-made me my bag with material I chose. I also ordered the matching camera strap and little pouch that I am planning on using as a wallet.

I am so excited that it is here! :)

wuh?

Pin It You know what's annoying?

When it takes you forever to get an appointment with the nurse practitioner (since we don't have a family doctor) and then on the day of the appointment her office calls and cancels and tells you she is sick and isn't seeing patients and to call back for another appointment later. SO you call back and the office is all mad at you for not showing up to your appointment. And when you explain that the office called and cancelled she says "oh. well that's strange. I was working that day and I don't remember calling anyone". Which totally means they think you are lying.

Gotta love it.

SO now I have to wait ANOTHER month to see her.

Sheesh.

visitors

Aiden and Owen have officially finished school for this year and I am very proud of them both. I think they both did very well considering the fact that they had to move in the middle of the school year and because of curriculum differences between where we used to live and here they were both very behind.

We DO have work to do over the summer to get them ready for the fall but that's ok :)

Aiden was very sad to say good-bye to grade one. He really has a tough time with transitions.

My in-laws are here visiting for a few days so there is lots of excitement around here. Folks from the "vision team" (code for board of elders) are coming over tonight for a barbeque to meet Doug's parents.

My house is not perfect.

Oh well.

Olivia got sunstroke or something on Father's day and got a sunburn which turned into a nasty prickly-heat rash thing and she has had a fever on and off for days... but other than the fever and being a little grumpier than usual she is doing fine. She's still eating and drinking and playing and laughing and talking... so I figure she is ok. But WOW is she ever NOT sleeping well at night. Not at all.

I have not slept more than an hour at a time in two nights now... I'm having flashbacks to my days with a newborn. I think her fever is just making it hard to sleep in our non-air conditioned home or something.

Anyhoo, I'm off to be the fabulous hostess that I am (HA!).

Happy weekend everyone! And no, the pictures had nothing to do with the post but hey, they made me laugh. They show what happens when a two-year old decides it is time to go swimming on her own. :)

What are you all doing this weekend?

Tiny Star Couture

Pin It I love having a little girl and one of the best parts of having a little girl is definitely dressing her up in super cute stuff! I was so excited when I opened the package from Tiny Star Couture. They had sent me adorable hair clippies and THE cutest little hat I have EVER seen!

Allow me to present Olivia modelling the Jasmine hat...
She just loves taking it off and looking at the beautiful flower clip and then putting the hat back on again...

The flower clippie is removable and looks adorable on its own in Olivia's sweet curls as well. Olivia also thinks it looks nice in my hair, and daddy's hair, and her brother's hair too- even if they don't agree :)

Both the hat and the clippies are very well made. The clippies stay in Olivia's hair very nicely and when she decides to grab them and pull them out of her hair only the clip comes out- the hair stays nicely put on her head where it belongs! I just hate it when she yanks out other types of clips and there is little bits of Olivia hair trapped inside... it took her two years to get hair and we don't need to be ripping it out of her head!

The Tiny Star Couture hair clippies come in all sorts of colours and styles to suit your little princess.

And just to complete the ensemble Tiny Star Couture has adorable Princess capes and Tutus!

I definitely recommend Tiny Star Couture!

Owen's fieldtrip

Pin It Today I got to go on a fieldtrip with Owen's kindergarten class. We went bowling and then we went to the park for the afternoon... and boy oh boy did it rain!

We ate our lunch under trees ... in the pouring rain.
The kids played in the splash park and on the play structures... in the rain.
At this point Owen said "Mom. I am cold. I am dirty. And I am wet. I want to go home".
But then the sunshine peeked through and all was right with the world once again!
I loved spending the day with my sweet boy Owen and his class :)
