We love Veggie Tales in our house so I was more than happy to review Saint Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving as part of a campaign for the Family Review Network.
Here is a little bit about the DVD from the Veggie Tales website:A Story of Joyful Giving! Find out as the Veggies discover the true joy of giving to others -- at Christmas time and throughout the year!
Laura Carrot's Christmas stocking might be empty this year because her dad is in danger of losing his job. While Larry thinks a letter to the North Pole should fix the problem, Bob knows what will really help ... and tells the story of a little boy named Nicholas who made a discovery in Bethlehem that changed Christmas forever. But what did Nick learn and how can it possibly help Laura and her family?!
Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Matthew West and GRAMMY Award-winning artist Amy Grant celebrate Christmas by recording "Give This Christmas Away" with producer Brown Bannister at his Franklin, Tenn. studio. The song and Operation Christmas Child music video are featured on Saint Nicholas!
I thought the movie was fun and I love that it was about Saint Nicholas. Veggie Tales movies always have a great message and this one was no exception. I know my kids need to learn more about joyful giving!
All three of my kids (ages 7, 6, and almost 3) watched the whole DVD all the way through... several times... over the past couple weeks. They all love the music and my daughter thinks it is hilarious that vegetables are talking. "Mommy that matoe (tomato) is talking!!".
I love Christmas and all things Christmas-related so this is a lovely addition to our home! This DVD would make a great gift for the Veggie Tales fans in your life.Video Trailer:

Thanks so much to Big Idea and the Family Review Network for providing me with a review copy of this DVD!
