My kids love music and so I was more than happy to review this fun kids CD- Funky Kidz...

FUNKY KIDZ – A musical compilation meant to bridge the gap between adult and children, the album features 12 of New Orleans' finest artists (Nevilles, The Radiators, George Porter Jr. of The Meters and more) doing funked up covers of classic kids songs we all know and love like “Zip a Dee Doo Dah”, “Yellow Submarine” and the funkiest rendition of “Hokey Pokey” you ever heard.  A portion of our proceeds goes toward fostering music education in New Orleans. This is a fun CD. I love that the songs are classics done in a unique way. Most are songs I've known for years and I loved the new "feel" to them.  The CD definitely sounds like it was done by folks from New Orleans- definitely funky! It is great. This is music that I would love to see done live :). My kids all had fun with these songs and Olivia especially loved dancing to the music.

My personal favourite is "Yellow Submarine". I LOVE this rendition of it! SO SO SO fun. It made me smile just listening to the opening.
