MY REVIEW
My husband and I have had many discussions over the years about the importance of character and how we can pass that on to our children. Our most recent discussion has been about how to teach empathy. Our son Aiden especially struggles with this because of his Autism but we want compassion to become second nature to all three of our kids. Unfortunately neither of us were really sure HOW to teach compassion!

When Mom Central contacted me about the possibility of reviewing Character Is The Key I was hopeful that Dimerman would have some helpful suggestions for us- and I was right! This book covers a LOT of information and gives some very practical advice. I love the Family Activity suggestions found at the end of several chapters. I also really appreciated how Dimerman walks the reader step-by-step through the dynamics of family meetings- why, when and HOW to have them.

The book is straight forward and easy to read and can be adapted for use in ANY family. I would definitely recommend Character Is The Key!
