Today I am madly weeding my yard since it is supposed to rain for the next few days. It has hardly rained at all, and yet the weeds are always thriving. Grr. After that we are going camping though, so I really need to get them in check before the hopeful rain comes.

I love the photo you chose for this post. These flowers (weeds whatever LOL) don't seem to grown down here but having lived up north my entire life, they epitomize summer to me. Makes me think of summer camp. I always went to Camp of the Woods for bible camp every summer. It's near Denorwic - ever heard of it? The camp I mean, not Denoriwic LOL.

I'm limited physically, so don't do a lot of fun activities like I used to. But I do read a lot! If I could, we'd go hiking, biking, pontooning, camping, and picnicking.
You should visit MN as it is the land of 10,000+ lakes. Northern MN is great for hiking and canoeing. The southeast is full of gorgeous bluffs. And then there's the farmland--close to our hearts, as both of us came from the farm. Crop watching is great, and the openness of the farmlands is so relaxing.

I didn't tell you about my family: my husband is from the Philippines. I met him while living in Singapore; my parents came to visit and we went on a cruise of Australia/New Zealand. My husband was working on the cruiseship. We have 2 beautiful children: Duncan who is 3 years old and Danica who is 4 months old. They are both very good kids, although Duncan likes to try our patience on a regular basis.

Our hometown is Sault Ste. Marie, ON. It's located at the hub of the Great Lakes on the border of Sault Ste. Marie, MI. If you like the outdoors, this is the place for you - hiking, swimming, biking in the summer and skiing and snowshoeing in the winter (and snowmobiling if you're into that). Lake Superior Provincial Park is an hour's drive north and has some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen in my travels around the world.

I love surprises and rarely get gifts (single mom) so a box of a bunch of small "whatevers" would be a blast for me but it's my daughter's Sweet Sixteen soon so most of the "whatevers" would end up going to her - so we'd both get fun surprises but she'd be the one to use them :)
I guess since I have her in mind maybe any vegetarian/no animal cruelty products, any pens, pencils, drawing materials etc...
I would really love some nail polish, my teenage daughter does nail art and we go through it liek crazy, but i need some better quality stuff than she gets at the dollar store which relaly stinks, she goes through alot of white , would be a great surprise for us both

Fun things this summer? The most fun is that my kids are on swim team, and we're spending tons of time at their swim meets cheering them on! And my daughter & I took a 2day trip all by ourselves to Chicago the past couple of days and had a ball! Every week this summer, it seems there are acitivities & down time all providing fun...and then we're relaxing in our pool and at the beach too!

I don't know why I am not entering this draw more often, I guess my mind has been on other things. I would just like to say that if there is anything in this box o' goodies that my sister in law would like I am going to share with her. Hey here I am again just getting ready to go to a movie with a friend tonight. I have decided that is my summer fun as it is short, sweet and attainable, otherwise there may be no summer fun in my life. Oh the other summer fun I have had is reading the twilight series! Love them, except the lack of proper editing! It is sad actually, but the content is great!!

Well, we've been having windows replaced in our new house this week and the roof will be done later this week. And looks like we'll also be building a new deck this summer. Besides this, we have lots of mini-reunions with old friends planned and a quick trip to Toronto where we'll likely take the kids to the Toronto Zoo.
