So you can feel better about yourself...

Pin It I have a confession to make...

my house?

is a complete disaster.

There are piles of laundry everywhere... some dirty, some clean, some folded, some in baskets and lots in a giant pile on my laundry room floor. Whole drawers are empty. I don't know why it seems so hard to get the laundry from the basket into the drawer. Perhaps there is a forcefield surrounding the dressers that prevents me from putting clothes where they belong.

Random things are scattered about in places they don't belong... blankets, toys and a juice box litter the living room floor. Dishes from lunch sit on the dining room table... and it is 6 pm. The recycling bin is full and in the middle of the kitchen along with a half unpacked box of kitchen stuff that we can't figure out where to put. Coats and boots are scattered on the entry way floor... mere feet from the places where they belong.

I may get some huge burst of energy tonight and clean it all up... but this headache I've had for the past several days has sapped my energy. I kept taking pills to make the headache bearable and that worked... mostly... except taking all those pills also made my stomach a complete mess.

So there you have it.

My confession of the day.

It's only April and I am already out of the running for housewife of the year :)

Oh well...you should look after your headache...and well having a bbq outside for supper is a good idea. I always find spring difficult, change of season seems to mean more footwear and outerwear for everyone!! Plus the idea in the back of my mind is I should spring clean as well...I am exhausted already!!!

That does make me feel better! The laundry is my nemesis. I envy those people who have "laundry day." My entire life is laundry day. It's sitting there waiting to be washed, folded, put away, picked up off the floor.... you get the idea. If I didn't live in Canada (long cold winters) I'd be seriously tempted to become a nudist. At least then there would only be sheets and towels. And heck, I could just let the kids air-dry....

It sounds like your home looks almost exactly like mine! I hope you feel better soon. :)

i hate laundry and dishes because they are right back where they were when you started within as little as 12 hours. at least when i dust the house it's good for a week.

I have the same laundry problem.

Plus, my Owen had a friend over after school yesterday. They were looking for a video game. Friend (age 7) says, "well, OWen, your house is kind of messy, so it ishard to find that game." Ugh. His mom probably puts all of her laundry away, and she only has two kids...

I've been out of the running for housewife of the year since approximately 12:28 on January 1st. So, don't feel bad!!

I can't accomplish anything right now. I don't know why. Today, I had set my mind on cleaning my room and conquering Laundry Mountain -- and Nate has a migraine and is in the bed. At least it's warm enough here that I am banishing my kids to the outside.
