The Verdict

Pin It We saw Aiden's pediatrician this morning. He told us that Aiden does NOT have ADHD... which I pretty much knew already but was nice to hear confirmation of.

He also told us Aiden needs more assessment than he can give. He is referring us to a developmental pediatrics team in the city (3 hrs away). Unfortunately we have a wait time of about a year and a TON of paperwork to fill out for that.

In the meantime he wants to start Aiden on a drug to help with his anger issues. I sure hope it works.

I am exhausted.

You have to wait a year? That seems too long to me!

Well, at least you can tell the school what it's not! I hope somehow you can get things expedited. We're still waiting to see specialists for Finleigh...a year and a half later. Pffft. If their not on their death bed, I guess...

I'm glad to hear you're finally getting some help.

I wonder if EFT would help - Emotional Freedom Technique...Google it...It's something you can easily experiment. As the saying goes "Try it on anything!" Let me know if you want me to give you more details.

OH! Have you tried homeopathy? Do you have a natropath near you?

Better yet...I have an idea...let me get back to you...

One year? That's lousy. Who knows...God may send someone else your way?

There isn't a way to figure this out any quicker? A year seems like a really long to wait.

A year? Wow, that's a long wait. You're in my prayers that something will happen much sooner and that the medication works for Aiden. Hugs!

A year?! Holy cow, what is wrong with the child care system these days?

Wow a year is a long wait to get into a doctor! I hope all goes well for you and I'm glad they didn't just automatically say he's ADHD I think too many doctors as quick to jump on that nowadays! You're in my prayers!

A year??!!! I can't believe they can't do anything sooner - that seems like an awfully long time to wait when there are anger issues with a kid. Is there anyone else you can go to that might be able to see him in the meantime? Hugs to you...

That wait stinks, but I'm glad he was able to give you a confirmation and try something for his anger! Praying that it helps!!
