non-vacation

Oh internet,

how I've missed you.

My google reader has 500 + posts in it to read. Wow. That is a whole lot of posts. I'm thinking that I may not be able to comment on all 500. Sheesh.

I am sick. I think I am developing a good case of bronchitis. Lucky me.

My husband is carrying Olivia around in her mai tei because she refuses to be put down. She is exceptionally clingy these days.

Aiden had the tantrum to end all tantrums today. I got to hear a lot of "I hate you!" which always does a mom's heart good to hear.
And you see that huge owee on Aiden's head? Ya. It's carpet burn. That he gave to himself. Nice eh?

I'm stressed out and tense and I really don't think this is the way a vacation should feel.

Mom's grow really thick skin after a while and now you know why...
J2 used to get rug burns on his forehead all the time-- he would play human bull dozer. It was a little unnerving.
The kids should fall back into a normal routine in a few days, they just need reassurance that all is back to normal. I'm hoping. For you.
I hope you get well soon-- eat those Airbornes!

Didn't you know? Mom's don't get vacations unless they leave the kids behind.

I've missed your posts. I sure hope you're feeling better soon.

Vacations mean at least twice the work for Mom, and that's just the systems stuff.

The emotional fallout from the kids respopnses to changes, even bigger.

How about 10 minutes of every hour downtime for Mom? I hope not impossible.

Thinking of you lightening your load.

Much love,

G. on the coast
