hieroglyphics

Earlier today I made a post about my sons drawing on themselves and Colleen commented:
"Oh, boys, aren't they great? Hilarious! At least they wrote on themselves and not the walls."

Well lo and behold what did my husband find when he went downstairs today?

Aiden explained that he was writing "hieroglyphics"...
I'm just impressed that he KNOWS that word.

Aiden... the budding muralist/artist/scientist?

Buwhahahahahahaha!!!!

I mean...Wow. Who knew Aiden would know the word hieroglyphs, what it was & what it meant! I am totally not helping you clean that up either. I helped Reanne do that when they moved, & my arms hurts for DAYS afterwards. But I miss you & think we should do "tea" next week coming up, if you are able to get to my house??
I have 1 child that does the same thing. She has colored on the wall, the carpet (with crayon and marker), the back of the headrest in the car, oh... and my father's painting (that is what he does for a living). She is 7 and she gets in trouble for it every time. Somehow, she still keeps doing it. That creative personality cannot be stopped :)

LOL
I think that's great he knew what they were, though. I think all kids enjoy coloring on things other than paper. Creative intuition?

HA! Oh no! I jinxed ya! So um, is it funnier on themselves or on the walls? Just curious ....

And yes, God bless Magic Erasers.

Oh wait. Now it's all making MUCH more sense. It was that OTHER Colleen who said that. (Hi Colleen! It's Colleen! Remember me?) I thought it sounded like something I'd say and yet I didn't remember saying it ....
